1943 Daimler Armoured car MK1
Winner of the “Best wheeled armour” at the War and Peace show 2011, this is one of the most complete Daimlers available. It runs and drives great, having had a recent overhaul (As a result of a recent overhaul this vehicle runs and drives very efficiently). The engine and transmission behave correctly with bags of power. All the electrics work fine (the vehicle has indicators fitted for road use).
The 2pdr main armament is live and fires well ( last used at the Victory show 2011), also included is a mega rare “Little John” squeeze bore adaptor. ( I have never seen another, not even in a museum.) It is currently on my RFD licence but can be deactivated or cut to meet your countries spec. Its is also fitted with the hard to find , deactivated 7.92 BESA MG. The sale includes 10 x 2pdr rounds, 3 of which are adapted to chamber and fire as blank ( they are very easily reloaded in a matter of seconds). The vehicle is fitted with all the optics and fine detail parts that finish such a vehicle ie 2 gallon petrol cans, oil bottles and cans, correct cammo net, cranking handle, vehicle cover, blankets, inert BESA ammo belts and tins, grenades tow chain etc etc etc.
The vehicle is road registered and is currently taxed. There are signs of pitting in some areas but this is all part of the vehicles history. All the tin work is very good with mostly new genuine bins being fitted during restoration. All the ID plates are fitted. Other items included and fitted is a working 19 set as well as a modern clansman intercom.
This is a very very rare piece of WW2 British armour, and one of only 40 surviving anywhere in the world ( confirm this see http://daimler-fighting-vehicles.co.uk ).
I am willing to ship world wide as long as all the correct paperwork is in place.
Offers in the region £80,000 will be considered
