Up for sale is Unimog Expedition project. This vehicle was purchased with the view to travel to far off places. It is in excellent condition for it's age and seen very few miles, the previous owner kept it under cover in storage for 25 years! It has been kept under cover since. Previous ovner stripped most of the original fittings from it. The spare wheel is in a new place at the back to make room for fittings under the vehicle and the lights have been replace with much more visible LED types. Previous ovner also fitted with great expense a single long range petrol tank. The front wheel cylinders have been replaced with new, it also now has brand new original brake shoes and front hydraulic connectors. A perspex caravan window has been fitted. The rear doors have been removed and replaced with a single galvanized sheet. The front doors are no longer fitted as an attempt to weld landrover tops to them failed (I still have them). The vehicle has brand new tyres and electronic ignition! All the HT leads are the very latest and were only fitted about 4 month's ago. Triple diode spark plugs have replaced the old ones. All the work carried out on this vehicle has been done by professionals. Things that will need doing are a little tune up and a good run to wear the brakes in! as they bind a little. The vehicle is M.O.T. exempt and Tax exempt, insurance will cost you about £100 under military cover (CHEAP!) Drives well at 50mph (convoy speed) can be driven on a motorway. mpg about 13-15.
