Convoys

Convoys

To make this 28th Annual show even more special and to make as many exhibitors as possible feel they are part of what makes "Beltring" what it is, five themed evening convoys are to take place this year.

After last year's success with the convoy of steel and the GMC road run, requests have flooded in from the many diverse exhibitor groups requesting similar events.

We would like to invite as many vehicles as possible to join in and continue to make Beltring THE show to be at.  If you are not taking part, please line the routes wave and cheer them on.  There will be many fantastic photo opportunities, because where else in the world can you see so many of the displays concerned actually in action.

Wednesday 21st July - The Wheels of Victory

All owners and drivers of WWII British and Commonwealth Wheeled Vehicles are invited to assemble in the main arena at 6pm to depart promptly at 6.30pm

The Wheels of Victory convoy will parade through the showground and out onto the lanes of Kent for a short run of about 10 miles and will return within the hour.

Wednesday 21st July - Die Deutsche Parade

This event is for German Re enactors Groups.  It will comprise of vehicles, equipment and marching Soldiers.  Assembly is the main arena at 6.30pm to depart at 7pm.  The convoy will proceed up through the Living History field crossing into and around America's field then back into and around Big Monkton's field and finishing on the main road towards America's field.  This will be the first time that a large contingent of Third Reich re enactors have been permitted to march around the showground.  The quality and authenticity of these re enactors is often overlooked. They like many other groups portraying Allies spend hundreds of £'s ensuring their kit is as accurate as possible as well.  Therefore please support them in their parade as you would any other Living History group no matter whom they portray.

Thursday 22nd July - Reo Thunder

All Reo owners and Drivers are invited to assemble in the main arena at 6pm to depart at 6.30pm.  The Reo Thunder convoy will parade through the showground and out onto the lanes of Kent for a short run of about 10 miles and will return within the hour.

Friday 23rd July - The Convoy of Steel

Calling all Tankies and Half Track Drivers.  Please join us in the main arena at 6pm to depart at 6.30 pm.  The Convoy of Steel will proceed up through the Living History Field crossing into and around America's Field, then back into and around Big Monkton's Field and finishing on the main road towards America's Field.

Saturday 24th  July - The Red Ball Express

The last but far from least convoy is for all the WWII GMC Trucks.  All Drivers are invited to assemble in the main arena at 6pm to depart at 6.30pm.  The Red Ball Express convoy will parade through the showground and out onto the lanes of Kent for a short run of about 10 miles and will return within the hour.
