New single benefits Royal British Legion

Top British jive & swing band The Jive Aces, have released a new single "White Cliffs of Dover" (RIGHT038) to commemorate the end of WWII, with proceeds going to the Royal British Legion.

This extremely popular group will be appearing each day at the War & Peace show (see programme for details).

The single, which is an upbeat, swinging version of Dame Vera Lynn's wartime classic has been featured on many radio stations including the following: BBC Radio Leicester, BBC Radio Essex, BBC Radio Nottingham, BBC Radio Humberside, BBC Radio Sheffield, BBC Radio Suffolk, BBC Radio Ulster, BBC Radio York, BBC Radio London, BBC Radio Jersey, BBC Radio Merseyside, Cockney Rebel Radio (Dorset), Quay FM (Portsmouth),Ridgeway Radio (Dorchester) and British Forces Broadcasting Service, with a lot more coming up over the next couple of weeks too.

The single is doing very well on the HMV on-line sales charts & has stayed in the top five best-sellers on their site since release!

Here's the latest on the White Cliffs of Dover single!

We just did a great live performance on BFBS (British Forces Broadcasting Service) which went out live this evening to all the British military bases around the world! They played the new single and we also played "Jive, Jive, Jive Aces", "Sweet Georgia Brown" and "Jump, Jive n Wail" live in the the studio. We just found out that we did make it in the top 200 singles. We entered in at 199 to be precise! And now apparently on the mid week standings we are up to number 113! So it's moving, thanks for your support one and all! Plus we were number 45 in the Indie singles charts too!
