JUST A THANK YOU

As in the past years the dust has once again settled over The Hop Farm and War and Peace 2004 is now just a memory.

After clearing up, Barbs and I got away in the last days of July. With renewed zest we ploughed straight into War and Peace on our return to The Old Rectory, then took our respective breaks after putting War and Peace 2004 to bed. It has taken us until now to get back in the driving seat and as the rounds of War and Peace meetings kicked off last week it has prompted us to write to you and to say thank you.

This year, having built on the year before the marshals and officials were more important than ever. The various teams have gelled into productive efficient War and Peace platoons. With military precision and uniformity tasks were executed to the letter.

Feedback for this year has seen a tremendous improvement. Compliments far outweighed criticisms of which each year there are fewer and fewer.

The early morning briefings with team leaders worked well in filtering information back through the chains of command to the task force.

Once again I feel a thank you is nowhere near enough, I must say our War and Peace family has grown in numbers and in closeness and I can?t wait for the next family gathering in July 2005.

As unfortunately happened last year some names were omitted from the list of thank you?s, I have worked hard in the hope that has been remedied for this year. Please feel free to contact me for a personal apology if I have left you out.
