Radio War and Peace was on the air again for War and Peace Show 2003 and was heard on 87.9FM.
The radio station
brought campers and visitors alike up to date with interviews from some
of the many characters at the show, as well as keeping people informed
of arena action and events around the site. There was also news,
information, good music and features with prominent military vehicle
owners and dealers.
Obviously, the station played plenty of 40's music and was a great addition to the event!.
Chris Evans, (no
relation to the other high flying radio star!), has wanted to set up a
radio station for War and Peace for several years now, but has at last
made his dream a reality. "There is so much going on at the show, that
is is almost impossible to see it all, even if you are staying for 5
days", said Chris. "The aim of the Radio station is not to take the
place of the public address system, but to give people at the show the
chance to experience even more of it than they would usually be able to
do."
The Radio station
can be received up to 6 miles away from the Hop Farm, so it can get all
those travelling to the show "In the mood"!.
Run by Chris
Evans, the well known radio personality and military bookseller, Radio
War and Peace will make sure you don't miss a thing at the World's
biggest Military Show.
More information on Radio War and Peace will be issued here as soon as it becomes available.
