JUST A THANK YOU

As in the past years the dust has once again settled over The Hop Farm and War and Peace 2003 is now just a memory.

After clearing up, Barbs and I got away in the last days of July. Having agreed earlier in the year, we both took a break before ploughing back into the world of The Old Rectory and War and Peace. It has taken us until now to get back in the driving seat and as the rounds of War and Peace meetings kicked off last week it has prompted us to write to you and to say thank you.

This year, more than any other year, the input of marshals and officials was more important than ever before. No matter what the motivation was, the support was excellent. As each monthly meeting passed, more and more of you became involved and as the officials took over their areas of responsibility, we could really see a team coming together.

Like all Shows, it had its ups and downs. The major source of complaints were the toilets, which without going into great detail, we must say we were badly let down on the arrangements we made. As I am sure you can imagine it is uppermost in our minds to correct this for 2004. Other than this the feed back has been superb.

As in previous years a thank you is never quite enough, so let me say I enjoyed working with you, I enjoyed your company and your support, but more importantly I look forward to working with you again in 2004.

As I am sure with everything in life we must have missed some of you out of the list of thank you’s. If we have, please contact us urgently so we may correct this.
