Book signings
Local Historian to Sign Books at War and Peace.
Bob
Ogley, one of Kent's most popular local historians, will be at the War
and Peace Show (16th - 20th July) for the first time this year. The
annual show takes place at The Hop Farm country Park where he will be
signing copies of his many best sellers including Kent at War, Biggin
On The Bump, Doodlebugs and Rockets, The Kent Weather Book and Kent --
A Chronicle of the Century (Volumes, 1, 2, 3, 4). His
stand number is K5.
Bob
will also be signing his latest book Ghosts of Biggin Hill which
has raised nearly ten thousand pounds in author's royalties for the
RAF Benevolent Fund and Demelza House, the hospice for children with
terminal
illness.
Many of Froglets books have enjoyed a
charitable connection starting with Bob's national bestseller, In The
Wake of The Hurricane (now out of print) which, together with the
regional editions of the Hurricane book, amassed aproaching £60,000 for
the National Trust and the county wildlife trusts.
The amount raised for charity by Froglets books is now more than £100,000, the main beneficiary being the RAF Benevolent Fund.
Froglets
Publications employs Bob and Fern Flynn as directors and
two part-timers. It is one of the country's smallest publishers.
