Oldest soldier at War and Peace?

Attending the War and Peace show (17th-21st July 2002) this year is Mr. R. W. Saunders who at 82 is probably one of the oldest, if not the oldest person attending this years event.

Mr. R. W. Saunders is now 82 and is attending Beltring for the full 5 days with a group of his friends, who will be bringing, a fire engine, a tank and various other vehicles. Reg is going to have to wear full uniform including medals. He was in action during the war and then after in Egypt & Palestine. He was in the Royal Scots Fusiliers. He is absolutely living for this occasion, it's going to be very special for him he talks about nothing else. He even has his own piper (a member of the group). Everyone is willing him on.
