The KM War
and Peace show (17th-21st July 2002) has announced the launch of Radio
War and Peace, to be on air for the first time this year!.
Broadcasting
will start from 11am on Saturday 13th July and can be heard on 87.9FM.
The radio station will be bringing campers and visitors alike up to
date with interviews from some of the many characters at the show, as
well as keeping people informed of arena action and events around the
site. There will also be news, information, good music and features with prominent military vehicle owners and dealers.
Obviously, the station will be playing plenty of 40's music and promises to be a great addition to the event!.
Chris Evans, (no
relation to the other high flying radio star!), has wanted to set up a
radio station for War and Peace for several years now, but has at last
made his dream a reality. "There is so much going on at the show, that
is is almost impossible to see it all, even if you are staying for 5
days", said Chris. "The aim of the Radio station is not to take the
place of the public address system, but to give people at the show the
chance to experience even more of it than they would usually be able to
do."
The Radio
station can be received up to 6 miles away from the Hop Farm, so it can
get all those travelling to the show "In the mood"!.
Run by Chris
Evans, the well known radio personality and military bookseller, Radio
War and Peace will make sure you don't miss a thing at the World's
biggest Military Show.
