Aside from the 100,000 visitors to the 300 acre site over 5 days, the thousands of stalls, there was plenty to see and do at the 2001 War and Peace Show...

Amongst the 3,267 military vehicles that attended the show, there were some unique and fascinating examples, including this Antar, owned and brought along by Earl Attlee.
The battle re-enactments were, as usual spectacular. In the arena, the Axis forces took on the Allies, with spectacular results. Many re-enactment groups joined us from all over the world, representing a wide spread of nationalities...
Ginger Gammon's motorbike ride out on the Saturday morning attracted over 75% of the vintage and classic motorcycles at the show.
Chrysler Jeep joined us for the first time this year, complete with a dug out 4x4 course, and seemed to have a permanent queue of people wanting to put the Jeep of the 21st Century through its paces.
The War and Peace show is famous for its many tanks, and this year was no exception...
Various celebrities came to the show, none more distinguished than Winston Churchill himself...
The M26 Pacific, the "Dragon Wagon", owned by Michael Hanson, was awarded the Dickie Dover Trophy for "Best In Show"
The Shepherd Neame-sponsored "Tigers" performed a spectacular parachute display for the gathered crowds around the arena
The Hymers Family from the Channel 4 series "The 1940s House" were on site throughout the show
Some of the many nationalities that came from all over the world... Even the Florida Chapter of the MVPA were spotted soaking up the European experience...
As part of the 60 Years of Jeep celebration, there was a fantastic turn out of Normandy veterans and WWII Jeeps
The Living History zone transported adults and children alike back in time, to witness scenes from WWII to the Vietnam War, to the Gulf...
